I found a quick easy pattern on Pinterest and made a few fleece hats from scraps. These hats are donated to help keep the homeless of Detroit warm. #PAYITFORWARD

SPRING IS COMING

Here is my latest finished project, a table runner I have titled "Spring Is Coming".  I love how is turned out it was fast and easy.  I made a pattern from an example I show in Pinterest.  Using some scraps of fabric and two weekends in my sewing room this is the results.  What so you think?

How To Make Valentine's Day Coasters

Here's are 7 short steps to make a cute Valentines Day coaster.

1. Make a template of a heart. Make sure its big enough for a seam allowance. 

2.  Select your fabric.  Trace and cut 2 hearts per coaster.

 

3. Layer two cut hearts with right sides together on a piece of batting and pin.

4. Sew around the coaster leaving a small 1 1/2 inches opening for turning.

5. After the coaster is sewn, clip around curves and point. 

6.  Turn and press.  Make sure to turn the seam opening inside and pin closed.

7.  Sew about 1/8 inch from the edge all the way around the heart.  This will close up your coaster.

My nephew Matthew Christmas present, Foxy.  I found and printed a step by step pattern on Pinterest.com.   I made a little bow tie to dress him up a little also.  This is my first attempted at making a stuffed animal but the pattern was very easy to follow.   He turned out so cute, I think he like him.
