Tara's Kitchen Towels

 

 

I made those kitchen towels for my sister, Tara, as a birthday present.  Very easy and I think they turned out great.  Just cut a strip of fabric about an inch longer then your towel.  The width is an inch longer then your desired finished width.  I wanted a 3 inch strip so cut I my fabric at 4 inches.  Next iron all the edges back 1/2 inch.  Pin this pressed piece on to the towel, use a straight edge to align it.  Sew all around to seal off.  I double sewed for look and extra straight.  Before I finished I added a strip at the top for hanging.  TRY IT!!!

 

 

Carlos' Quilt

Pattern is from City Quilts, page 94.  City Shops is the pattern name however I added an extra row and 7" to all rows to increase the overall size.  Fun and easy pattern to follow.  I very much like the way it turned out and it was given away as a gift. 

Barbie Clothes

This was a Christmas present for my niece Raelynn. I had fun playing with fabrics and styles.  I came up with two dressing (the red poke-a-dot with the little red bow is my favorite), three skirts one with a matching bag, and a white top.  I found an online tutorial for the top on Pinterest; http://www.pinterest.com/pin/247346204510530251/ however the rest was just designed on the fly.  I think I will defiantly make more Barbie clothes in the future for other little girls. 

 

 

Seat Belt Covers

Selling a few of my goods at work today. I am thinking of getting a booth at local craft fair.  I thought I would test a few of my ideas at work.  I sold 8 seat belt covers today, they did better then I thought.  I think they will be on my list for the craft fair.  What do you think would be a good seller?

Lady Jordan Galliard Dress

This is a dress I was commissioned to make by a friend.  The characters name is Lady Jordan Galliard, she is part of some still life action figure photography.  I am always amazed by the photos he does with action figures and the story that comes from them.   

Weekender Travel Bag

 

I love my weekender travel bag.  Now I have the cutest bag and it even has fabric that matches my luggage.  It's a really big bag and will hold more then enough for a weekend getaway. The pattern is by Amy Butler http://www.amybutlerdesign.com/products/patterns_display.php?id=22.  Its not a project for beginners but if you have a little sewing experience and a good sewing machine its a great idea.  Took me about 3 weekends to complete.
